Community Service

At SouthState, Banking Forward goes far beyond the doors of our branches. We are committed to bettering the communities we serve by helping our team members, customers and local economies thrive. We seek to accomplish this by playing an active role in community life, always operating with integrity, and finding new ways to give back.

Our bankers support their local neighbors and businesses not only financially through themed pledge drives and other fundraisers, but also with their time and energy. In fact, we encourage them to step away from their desks and volunteer locally with paid volunteer days. Employees have used this unique benefit to pack food boxes, mentor youth, build homes, collect school supplies, and serve as committee chairs for nonprofit events.

SouthState Impacted Our Footprint in 2025 through:

$10.2 million in contributions, donations, and tax credits to more than 3,800 organizations
22,900 volunteer service hours with 1,300 different organizations
$509 million in affordable lending mortgage programs, as well as $792 million in community development loans
